"There isn't one experience I have per say, It's a general experience of working for an individual (Daryl Gilliam) where I am allowed to build relationships with our customers. I have a number of customers that I have formed friendships with. Most companies don't value having relationships with their customers anymore and Daryl has always taken great pride in forming genuine relationships with all his customers."

Remote Service Representative

Is from Grand Rapids, MI, Betsy has been working for insurance companies for over 25 years! She joined State Farm Daryl Gilliam Agency in April of 2022 and hasn’t looked back since. Betsey is an essential behind-the-scenes worker, taking care of day-to-day activities to allow the rest of the office to really focus on the customers. 9/10 Betsey is the one sending you State Farm text to your cellular device with important dates, reminders, and offers. In her free time, Betsey enjoys gardening, traveling, hiking, and spending time with her dogs. Betsey is inspired by the customers, they motivate her to help them not only understand the insurance but make them feel comfortable that they have a good team serving them.

Education

Betsey enjoys educating customers on how State Farm works to provide insurance to their customers and make sure that they are satisfied with the coverages they are receiving. Betsey insists that she takes these steps to educate and prepare the customer so that there is no confusion.

“What has been your most unique experience working at State Farm?”

"On a Sunday morning I got a call from my friend's son, he was 24 at the time. He calls me his bonus mom. He's freaking out because he was having a car delivered that afternoon and he realized he had no insurance because there was a period of a few days when he was without a vehicle and he canceled his policy. So, I was able to really quickly get him what he needed and he was able to show proof of insurance when his dream car was dropped off later that day. It is always nice to be able to help the people you love when they're worried about something."

Account Manager

is from Marshall, MI, Andrew has been with State Farm Daryl Gilliam Agency for 4 years now, but has been serving the State Farm family for another 4 years prior, with professional excellence in insurance and service. Andrew takes pride in the details of his work, as he assures numbers are right and can quickly answer questions. Andrew enjoys spending time with his family away from work and is inspired by his daughter.

Is from Detroit, MI, Jalen has been with Daryl Gilliam Agency since December 2022, and prior to joining the team, he worked for a bank for 3 years. Jalen is very keen on making sure customers are taken care of. If they have questions, he has the answers and is always willing to go the extra mile to make sure that the customers know that they're our top priority. In his free time, Jalen enjoys spending time with friends and family, as well as playing video games!

Jalen uses his creative mind to help customers come up with alternate options if problems arise. He makes sure to stay on top of the situation and uses all of the resources at his disposal to maintain a good line of communication between him and the customer.
